Creamy Chicken and Egg Noodles

Indulge in a comforting bowl of creamy chicken and egg noodles made with tender chicken, fresh homemade noodles, and a rich sauce of butter, cream, and chicken broth. This easy recipe is perfect for a cozy dinner

 

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 carrots, diced

  • 2 celery stalks, diced

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 3 tablespoons flour

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup

  • Salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like

  • Fresh homemade egg noodles

 

Directions

  1. Sauté the chicken breasts in butter and olive oil until cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  2. In the same pan, sauté carrots, celery, and onion until tender.

  3. Add flour to the vegetables to make a roux.

  4. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream, followed by the cream of chicken soup. Let it simmer until thickened.

  5. Cut the cooked chicken into pieces and add back to the pan.

  6. Add your cooked homemade egg noodles to the mixture. Stir and cook until everything is well combined and creamy.
