Butter Cake

Our own @Cooking_with_Caz Went in for the sweet touch on Day 4 of the Food Pantry Challenge with Butter Cake

Make it stand out

Dry Ingredients:

  • 7oz Flour

  • 1 Tbsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 7oz sugar

  • 2 sticks butter (softened)

  • 2oz milk

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Directions:

  • Whisk flour, salt and baking powder together in a separate bowl.

  • Cream butter and sugar until completely combined. Add 1 egg at a time until completely combined before adding the next.

  • Finally add milk and vanilla extract..

  • Bake in 375⁰ oven for 25 minutes then loosely cover with foil for 30 minutes more in the oven. Total baking time is 55 minutes.

  • Let cool for 1 hour.
