Tomatoes Tarte Tartin

Learn how to make this delicious French-inspired tart with 1 sheet puff pastry, juicy tomatoes, Dijon mustard, fresh herbs, and Gruyere cheese. Perfect for a summer dinner or as a simple yet elegant appetizer.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry

  • 2-3 Tbsp Dijon (creme fraiche can also be substituted or cut with mustard)

  • 2-3 tomatoes, sliced

  • Fresh thyme or basil

  • Grated Gruyere

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry thin.

  3. Spread the Dijon (or creme fraiche) evenly from crust to crust. Lay tomatoes over the top, then season with salt and pepper. Garnish with the grated cheese.

  4. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs, slice and serve.
