Preparation:
Rinse your rice until the water is no longer cloudy
Place in a pot, add water and, cover and simmer for 45 min, stirring every 10 min.
While rice cooks; dice up 1-2 hot dogs (you can also use ham, sausage etc) and fry until your preferred doneness.
Slice up some scallions
The congee is done once it is soft and has a “mush” like consistency. Very little water will remain.
Plate in a bowl. You will want to serve this warm
Season with Mrs Dash and any low sodium herb blend (you can also season this during the cooking process if preferred)
Garnish with scallions and minced/fried hot dog
