Serves: 4

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • For the Fish:

  • 4 Cod fillets (about 6 ounces each)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon citric acid

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Start by seasoning the cod fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt.

  3. Add the cod to the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the pan and keep warm.

  4. For the sauce, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, and citric acid in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined.

  5. Serve the pan-fried cod hot, topped with a generous spoonful of the creamy dill sauce.

  6. Enjoy your meal!
