Nana’s Meatloaf

Nana’s Meatloaf is a comforting, no-fuss classic packed with hearty ground beef, peppers, onions, and savory seasoning. Topped with ketchup and optional cheddar cheese, it’s baked to perfection for a nostalgic, family-style dinner everyone loves.

 

Ingredients

·     3 lbs ground beef

·       2 cups bread crumbs

·       3 eggs

·       1 can tomato sauce

·       1 box Lipton onion soup mix

·       1 lb frozen onion and pepper blend, thawed

·       ¼ cup ketchup (for topping)

·       1 tbsp black pepper

·       Optional: Sliced cheddar cheese (for garnish)

·       Optional: Additional sliced peppers (for garnish)

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, tomato sauce, onion soup mix, thawed onion and pepper blend, and black pepper. Mix until well combined

  3. Press the mixture into a 13x9-inch baking dish, shaping it into a loaf. Spread ketchup evenly over the top. If desired, add extra sliced peppers and cheddar cheese on top.

  4. Bake for 45 minutes. Carefully drain any excess liquid from the pan.

  5. Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
