MELOSITO CARNE DE RES (BEEF RICE)
Ingredients
3 Cups of rice
1 Green pepper
1 Red pepper
1 Red onion
2 Pounds of cube steak
Vegetable Oil
Garlic paste
Salt kosher
Black pepper
Cumin
2 Tablespoon chicken flavor bouillon
10 Tablespoon of anatto oil, yellow coloring or Beijol
PREPARATION
Start cooking the rice just the traditional way you would, but add the anatto oil and let the rice cook.
The next step is cut the veggies ( peppers and onions). The cut has to be julienne like strips, put inside of the bowl and leave them.
Continue cut the steak into strips, marinade with salt, black pepper, garlic paste, cumin, 2 tablespoons chicken flavor bouillon, marinate for 5 minutes.
Sauté the veggies ( peppers and onions ); take the frying pan, put on the heat ( medium heat ) add some anatto oil and the vegetables.
Cook until they are half-way cooked, season with some salt, black pepper and cumin, take off of the heat.
In a skillet, fry the meat over medium heat with some oil, cover the fryer let the beef cook slowly so the beef stays juicy and doesn’t dry out
When the beef is ready add the veggies together let them cook for 8 minutes.
The last step is to add the rice with the beef and vegetables mix together and serve.
