Caz’s Easy Cornbread

Sometimes the dishes people remember don’t require a lot of time or ingredients. First up was his Easy Cornbread which he used for his cornbread dressing.

Caz’s Easy Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2c Self-rising Cornmeal 

  • 1c milk 

  • 2 egg (beaten)

  • 1/4c oil

  • 1 Tbsp bacon fat 

Preparation:

  1. Preheat 8x8 pan to 425⁰ in oven with bacon fat. 

  2. Add all other ingredients to mixing bowl.  

  3. All fat to cool slightly and add into mixture and incorporate. 

  4. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until I toothpick comes out clean.
