Deep Fried Buttermilk Pork Chops

📖 Ingredients:

  • 4 pork chops, about 1-inch thick

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • vegetable oil for frying

📖 Preparation:

1. Place the pork chops in a shallow dish and pour the buttermilk over them. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours.

2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, and black pepper.

3. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.

4. Dredge the pork chops in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

5. Carefully place the pork chops in the hot oil and fry for about 3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

6. Remove the pork chops from the oil and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

7. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
