Cherry Chocolate Trifle

Ingredients
1 chocolate cake (store-bought or homemade), cut into cubes
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
1 cup fresh or frozen pitted cherries
2 cups chocolate pudding (store-bought or homemade)
2 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
¼ cup grated dark chocolate or chocolate shavings
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Directions
Layer the Cake: Begin by placing a layer of chocolate cake cubes at the bottom of your trifle dish.
Add Cherry Filling: Spread a layer of cherry pie filling over the cake cubes. Add a handful of fresh or frozen cherries on top.
Layer the Pudding: Pour a layer of chocolate pudding over the cherry layer.
Add Whipped Cream: Spread a layer of whipped cream on top of the pudding.
