Bourbon Gold Rush

This is a simple drink and is a play on the “Whiskey Sour” but instead we will use a honey simple syrup!

Octoberdragonfly's take on a whiskey sour with bourbon, honey syrup, and lemon juice
 

Ingredients

  • 4 oz of bourbon

  • ½ oz lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1 tbs honey

  • 3 tbs hot water

 

Directions

  1. Mix honey and hot water to create honey syrup

  2. In a shaker filled with ice, add bourbon, honey syrup, lemon juice, and shake to combine

  3. Add fresh ice to a rocks glass then pour mixture over the ice

  4. Garnish with a twist of lemon (lemon peel twisted to release lemon oil)

    *additional garnish* Cherry
