Apple Sandwich
This unique twist on a classic sandwich swaps out traditional bread f.or crisp apple slices, creating a light and flavorful bite. Layered with savory turkey, crispy bacon, creamy cheddar cheese, and a touch of sweet fig jam, this recipe is a perfect blend of textures and tastes.
Ingredients
6 crisp apple slices (e.g., Honeycrisp, Fuji)
1 package shaved turkey
2 strips cooked bacon
3 slices cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons micro sprouts
1 tablespoon fig jam
Directions
Wash the apple thoroughly. Slice the apple into approximately ¼-inch to ½-inch thick slices. Use a small cookie cutter or knife to remove the core from the center of each slice.
Lay out 3 apple slices.
Layer the shaved turkey evenly over the apple slices.
Place the cooked bacon strips on top of the turkey.
Add the cheddar cheese slices.
Spread the fig jam over the cheese.
Top with the micro sprouts.
Place the remaining 3 apple slices on top to complete the sandwiches
