During some of our LIVEs on Tiktok, Andrea @GlutenFreeMommaAnn share a few of her goto sides. If you recall from previous posts, Andrea prepares many Keto based dishes as well as those that support folks with other food sensitivities. Yesterday she shared her take on Homemade Cranberry Hummus. Today she shared her Favorite Hummus

Andrea’s Favorite Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 15oz. can chickpeas

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil 

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice 

  • 1/4 cup tahini 

  • 1 clove garlic 

  • 1/2 tsp salt 

  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin  

Preparation

  1. Drain the chickpeas but reserve the liquid. 

  2. Place the drained chickpeas in a food processor along the olive oil, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, salt, and cumin.

  3. Pulse the mixture until it is fairly smooth. 

  4. If the mixture is too dry to process smoothly, add a couple tablespoons of water, extra olive oil, or liquid from the reserved chickpeas.

  5. Taste the hummus and adjust the salt, cumin, lemon, or garlic to your liking.
