Thanksgiving Turkey Cheese Ball

Cheese Ball

•      16 oz. cooked ham chopped

•      3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

•      3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese

•      16 oz. cream cheese softened

•      1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard

•      1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

•      1 Tbsp. brown sugar

•      1/4 tsp. onion powder

To form turkey body:

1.  In a large bowl, mix all cheese ball ingredients well.

2.  Set aside a small amount (about 1/4 tsp.) of the cheese mix to use when decorating.

3.  Wrap in saran wrap and shape into a ball.

4.  Chill for 1 - 2 hours to firm up.

Turkey Decoration

  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

  • 1 pretzel rod large

  • pretzel sticks skinny

  • edible candy eyes

  • 1 medium carrot

  • parsley as a garnish

To decorate turkey body and face:

  1. Remove from Saran Wrap and roll cheese ball in chopped pecans and place on serving dish.

  2. Turkey Neck: Break a large pretzel rod into about a four inch piece. Stand the pretzel rod up by inserting it broken end down into the first third of the cheese ball.

  3. Turkey Tail: Add the skinny pretzel sticks to the opposite side of the cheese ball as tail feathers. Use as many as you need to achieve the look you like.

  4. Turkey Eyes: Use small amount of saved cheese mix to stick the candy eyes to the turkey neck (large pretzel rod)

  5. Turkey Beak: Cute a small triangle “beak like” piece from the carrot. Use the saved cheese mix to stick the “beak” to the turkey neck (large pretzel rod)

  6. Garnish with parsley and serve with crackers.
