Turkey Turkish Pasta

 

Ingredients

Pasta:

  • 12 oz cooked pasta

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 white onion, cut into long strips 

  • Salt to taste

    Meat Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp oil (I use avocado)

  • 1 lb ground turkey 

  • ½ onion, diced 

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic 

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste 

  • ¼ cup broth 

  • Salt and pepper to taste 

  • Optional - Garlic and onion powder

    Yogurt Sauce:

  • 2 cups yogurt 

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice 

  • 2 tbsp minced garlic 

  • Salt and pepper to taste


    Paprika Butter:

  • 1 tbsp salted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp paprika

    Additional Toppings:

  • Diced tomatoes 

  • Parsley

  • Feta cheese

 

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, make your meat sauce by adding your avocado oil on medium heat. Add your ground beef and cook until brown. Add your onions, garlic and cook with the meat until your onions are translucent. 

  2. Add your tomato paste and seasonings and mix.

  3. Add bone broth and taste for any seasoning additions. 

  4. Let this cool while you grill up your sliced onions on a separate pan. To this pan, add some avocado oil, and caramelize for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Remove from heat and set aside. 

  5. Make your yogurt sauce and and paprika butter 

  6. Assemble your dish - onion pasta, meat sauce, yogurt, paprika butter and top with tomatoes, feta cheese and parsley!
