TunaCado Sandwich
According to Jessie this recipe is inspired by the viral “tunacado” video created by @dzaslavsky. I love a good panini and the crunch on her sandwich made me really want to try this out, I really loved the flavor profile of this dish, but I was really not a fan of the tuna mousse aspect of the dish. I definitely think this dish is worth your time, but my tweak suggestion is to skip the purée on your fish and serve this flavorful filling the good ol’ classic tuna sando way. Try it out, and tell us if it was worth the messy!

TunaCado Sandwich
Ingredients
Canned Tuna Fish,
mayonaise,
red onion,
avocado,
tomato,
pickled jalapeño,
salt,
pepper,
ciabatta bread,
olive oil.
Directions
Lightly coat a ciabatta bun with olive oil, then press it in a panini press or on a pan with a weighted press toast the bread on medium heat until golden brown on both sides
While this toasts start making your filling. In a bowl add one can of drained tuna fish, mix in two to three tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1/8th of a cup of diced red onion, and 1/8th of a cup of diced pickled jalapeño peppers.
Salt and pepper your filling to your taste.
With the original viral video this was processed all together in to a mousse, but my suggestion is yo serve this as is.
While your pressed chiabata bread is still warm, cut it in half, coat the inside with pesto and add your tuna mixture.
Cover your mixture with fresh avocado and freshly sliced tomato.
Cut lengthwise and serve.
