Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ lb whole wild-caught salmon fillet

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a sheet pan with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.

  2. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down on the prepared sheet pan.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, honey, garlic, soy sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper. Pour the marinade evenly over the salmon.

  4. Roast the salmon in the oven for 15–20 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should be 125°F (52°C) for medium-rare or 145°F (63°C) for well-done.

  5. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Side Note: When roasting a whole salmon fillet, the thinner edges will cook faster. If you prefer, slice off the thinner, more cooked sections as a snack while you prepare the rest of the salmon.
