David and I had some Swiss steak leftover we from the other night so I made sloppy joes out of them! If you ever have ground beef or anything like that leftover, this is a good recipe to use to do just that!
📖 Ingredients;
⭐️ Leftover Swiss Steak
⭐️ 1 Green Bell Pepper, Minced
⭐️ 1 Yellow Onion, Minced
⭐️ 1 TBSP Minced Garlic
⭐️ 1 TSP Cumin
⭐️ 1/4 TSP Chili Powder
⭐️ Cayenne Pepper to Taste
⭐️ 1 Can of Crushed & Pulsed Tomatoes + 1/4 Can Rinsed Out with Water
⭐️ 3 TBSPS Tomato Paste
⭐️ 1/4 C. Brown Sugar
⭐️ 1/4 C. Soy Sauce or Worcestershire Sauce
⭐️ Salt to Taste
⭐️ 1/8 C. Yellow Mustard
📖 Recipe:
1. Mince your onion, garlic and green bell pepper finely. Add them to a hot skillet along with the spices and soy sauce. Cook until fragrant and translucent.
2. Add tomato paste and cook another few minutes.
3. Add your canned tomatoes, leftover Swiss steak or ground beef and your mustard. Cook on medium heat until cooked through or if your using leftovers, until heated through.
4. Allow to simmer for several minutes, about ten to fifteen to really enhance the flavors.
5. Then load them up on a bun covered in mayonnaise and a side of fries or chips and enjoy!
