Fluffy Cheesy Scrambled Eggs
Ingredients
4 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
Chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives), for garnish (optional)
Directions
Crack the eggs into a medium bowl and add the milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined and the eggs are slightly frothy.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Add the butter and swirl it around the pan until melted and the bottom of the skillet is coated.
Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and use a spatula to gently stir the eggs continuously, scraping the bottom of the skillet to prevent sticking.
When the eggs are about halfway cooked, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top and continue to stir until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.
Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the scrambled eggs to a plate. Garnish with chopped herbs if desired and serve hot.
Tips:
Be sure to use a non-stick skillet to prevent the eggs from sticking and burning.
Use a spatula with a silicone or rubber tip to prevent scratching the non-stick surface of the skillet.
For even fluffier eggs, you can add a little extra milk or a dollop of sour cream to the egg mixture before cooking.
Experiment with different types of cheese and herbs to create your own unique flavor combinations.
