C3 takes over Career Day !

I’d like to thank Principal Eisenreich for inviting me to be a part of Mount Vernon Elementary’s Career Day. Linda and I had an absolute blast teaching new recipes and inspiring the students to get in the kitchen! Thank you to all of our student Sous Chefs who helped us cook up some goodies and learn how math and science are important roles in cooking. I hope you use these recipes in the future and feel free to be creative with them and try new things!!! Most of all, always remember to believe in yourself and your own magic. You’re a majestic Unicorn!
Desarae’s Pizza in a cup:
Ingredients
1 tbsp Olive oil
3 tbsp Milk
4 tbsp flour
1/8 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
Italian seasonings to taste (we used Shore Smoke Seasonings - That’s Amore blend)
Preparation
Mix together in a cup and be sure to scrape the sides and bottom.
Add your pizza sauce on top of your dough, then your cheese and toppings.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes and allow to cool a bit before eating.
Chocolate chip cookie in a cup:
Ingredients
1 egg yolk (remember to save the white to make a scrambled egg in a cup-just add salt and pepper and microwave for 45 seconds)
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp white sugar 4
tbsp flour
2 tbsp chocolate chips
Preparation
Mix all together in a cup and microwave for 60 seconds
