Cheddar Cheese Bread
Ingredients
12.5 oz flour,
2 c sharp cheddar cheese (shredded),
2 Tbsp sugar, 4 tsp baking powder,
1 tsp salt,
1 tsp pepper,
12 oz beer,
3 Tbsp butter melted.
Directions
Preheat oven to 425‚
Reserve 1 cup of the cheese then whisk all dry ingredients together thoroughly.
Pour beer and butter into the dry mix and fold together. The batter should be stiff.
Transfer the batter to a 10 inch cast iron skillet that has been oiled up to the rim.
Spread batter evenly until its against the sides.
Top with reserved cheese.
Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 30 minutes
