Baked Ravioli

 

Ingredients

  • 24 oz Ravioli (from fridge section)

  • 8 ozs of Mozzarella, grated

  • Dried Parsley

  • Dried Basil

  • Pasta Sauce/s. I like to mix Alfredo (jarred is fine) and Tomato Sauce (see below)

    Basic Tomato Garlic Sauce

  • 28 ozs Whole Peeled Tomatoes, crushed

  • 2 tsp EVOO

  • 5 Garlic Cloves, minced

  • ½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1 T Parmesan, grated

  • Salt/Pepper to taste

 

Directions

  1. To make the sauce: Heat oil in a pot on medium heat. Add pepper flakes and garlic and cook for a minute before adding the tomatoes and crushing them with a wooden spoon. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Let simmer a few minutes for the flavors to come together.

  2. Prepare ravioli per directions on package.

  3. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish. Place layer of sauce in the bottom, then placr thr raviolis in one layer. Tops with sauce/s.

  4. Cover with Mozzarella and bake at until cheese is melted. Top with Basil or Parsley for garnish. You are just heating it through and melting cheese as raviolis and sauce is warmed.
