Sautéed Asparagus with Garlic and Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus, cleaned and trimmed (woody ends removed, bottom slightly peeled)

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 garlic clove, smashed

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

 

Directions

  1. Bring a pot of beef broth to a boil.

  2. Blanch the asparagus in the broth for 1 minute, then remove and drain.

  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil, butter, and garlic.

  4. Add the asparagus to the skillet, season with salt, and sauté for 1.5 to 2 minutes, tossing occasionally.

  5. Remove from heat, season with black pepper, and serve immediately.
