Fast Chili Cheese Naan

 

Ingredients

  • FOR THE DOUGH

  • 7 ounces plain flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 5 ounces greek yogurt

  • 4-5 tablespoons water

  • FOR THE FILLING

  • 3 ounces Cheddar Cheese, grated

  • 1.5 ounces mozzarella, grated

  • 1 green chili, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoon cilantro, chopped

 

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and yogurt. Then, add enough water to make a moist dough.

  2. Knead the dough on a work surface for a few minutes, return it to the bowl, and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, mix the filling in another bowl.

  4. Preheat the boiler on low. Divide the dough into 4 portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then roll out each portion into 3-4 inch disks.

  5. Fill each disk with 1/4 of the filling, gather the edges, and pinch together to seal in the filing. Roll in a bit of flour and press flat with your fingertips. Using a rolling pin, roll out to 7 to 10-inch circles.

  6. Turn the broiler to High. Place all 4 Naan on a cookie sheet and broil until golden for about 1 minute, then flip and broil for another minute.

  7. Serve with melted butter.
