Shrimp Cocktail
Ingredients:
1 lb raw, peeled and deveined large shrimp
4 cups water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
1/2 medium onion, quartered
2 cloves garlic, minced
Cocktail sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
In a large saucepan, bring the water, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, Old Bay seasoning, bay leaves, salt, peppercorns, onion, and garlic to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once boiling, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes or until fully cooked and opaque.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the shrimp sit in the liquid for 5 minutes.
Drain the shrimp and transfer to a serving dish.
Serve the shrimp with cocktail sauce and lemon wedges on the side.
