Cherry Chocolate Cheesecake Dump Cake

This easy dump cake recipe layers flavor and texture with minimal effort—perfect for a quick and delicious dessert!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix

  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut into 16 pieces

  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, sliced

 

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.

  2. Spread the entire can of cherry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle half of the dry chocolate cake mix over the cherries. Evenly distribute the 16 cream cheese pieces across the cake mix layer. Sprinkle the remaining half of the cake mix over the cream cheese layer.

  3. Place the slices of butter evenly on top of the final cake mix layer, ensuring they cover as much of the surface as possible.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and the butter has melted into the cake mix.

  5. Let the dump cake cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired!
