Popovers
Popovers (Yorkshire Pudding) are quick, simple and easy to make! These light, buttery pastries are best served with hearty dishes
Ingredients
2 eggs
A dash of salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons of butter, cut into 8 slices
Directions
Preheat your oven to 450° Place one slice of butter into eight of the 10 muffin cups. Place the muffin tin into the preheated oven, allowing butter to melt.
Meanwhile, beat two eggs and combine with the milk. In a separate bowl, sift flour and salt. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and whisk until smooth.
Retrieve the muffin tin from the oven and add mixture to each muffin cup (a little over half). Add back to the oven for 10-12 minutes.
WITHOUT opening the oven door, reduce the temperature to 350°F. Bake until it becomes golden, about another 15 minutes.
