Limoncello & Cousins

Ingredients

  • 8oz 96% Grain Alcohol

  • 1.5oz Citrus Peels

  • 14oz Water

  • 5oz Sugar

Directions

  1. Peel the Citrus: Time to peel those citrus fruits! We want less pith, so go with a Y-shaped vegetable peeler. Watch those fingers! After chopping, toss the peels into a mason jar along with the neutral grain alcohol. Some recipes take weeks, but with high-proof alcohol, two days will do the trick!

  2. Shake, Shake, Shake: Give those jars a good shake a few times over the next couple of days. That’s about all the work you need to do. Once the peels look pale, strain them out, and give them a gentle squeeze to extract every last drop of flavor.

  3. Measure and Mix: Measure out 8oz of your infused spirit. Time to dilute and sweeten it! Use a whisk to combine the spirit with water and sugar. Then mix in your infusion.

  4. Repeat for Each Infusion: Repeat this process for each of your infusions. Aim for 30% ABV. Different citrus fruits may cause some separation, just shake the bottle, and you’re good to go!

  5. Enjoy the Liqueurs: We’ve created three delightful liqueurs perfect for sipping or mixing into cocktails. The vibrant colors and distinctive aromas make it easy to tell lemon, orange, and lime apart. The citrusy freshness paired with the right amount of sweetness is simply divine!

  6. Pair with Spirits: These liqueurs pair wonderfully with various spirits. Try whiskey with Limoncello, rum with Limecello, and cognac with Orancello. Or go versatile with tequila!

Cheers to a flavorful adventure! 🍸
