Gochu-Yum Sauce
This sauce is similar to the yum yum sauce you experience at hibachi restaurants, but rather using tomato products, the fermented Korean chili paste Gochujang is used for a sweet heat
Ingredients
½ cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp gochujang
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
1 Tbsp butter
¼ tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp white pepper
Salt, to taste
Directions
Melt the butter in the microwave in 10 second intervals. Allow to cool.
Once the butter is cool, combine all the ingredients. Taste and adjust for salt and white pepper. Store in the refrigerator for a week.
For better results, allow this to rest in the fridge for all the flavors to marinate.
