Cranberry Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cranberry sauce

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ⅓ cup ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)

  • Kosher salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Combine the cranberry sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, brown sugar, cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and pepper in a saucepan.

  2. Stir the mixture well and set the heat to low.

  3. Let the sauce simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove the pan from heat and allow the sauce to cool to room temperature before using or storing.

    Cook's Tip: This recipe works with any kind of cranberry sauce, whether canned (whole berry or jellied) or homemade.
