Cornbread Turkey Stuffing

Cornbread stuffing

Ingredients

  • 4oz bacon fat

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 white onion, diced

  • 1/2 bell pepper, diced

  • 1 stalk celery, thinly sliced

  • 1 Tbsp poultry seasoning

  • 1 recipe cornbread

  • 2 cups turkey broth

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, saute peppers, onions, and celery in bacon fat until the onions are translucent and everything is soft.

  2. Add poultry seasoning and cook for another minute.

  3. In a large bowl, crumble cornbread into pieces. Add vegetable mixture and combine.

  4. Slowly add turkey broth until cornbread has the texture of wet sand.

  5. Bake at 430 degrees until the top is toasted. Let setup for at least 10 minutes.
